Autumn Flavors Return to Central Istria with the "Autumn on a Plate" Event

Autumn has arrived in Central Istria, bringing with it the recognizable flavors and aromas that you can experience on the plates of local restaurants during the fourth edition of the Autumn on a Plate event. This gastronomic event will take place from October 4 to 27, 2024, featuring six participating restaurants from the Central Istria Tourist Board area.

During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy rich menus based on autumn ingredients such as pumpkin, mushrooms, apples, pears, and figs. Local restaurateurs will prepare traditional Istrian dishes using seasonal ingredients, all offered at promotional prices. The menus will include appetizers, main courses, and desserts, with meal prices ranging from €20 to €30, depending on the restaurant.

Participating restaurants include:

• Agroturizam Pod Čeripnjon (Sv. Petar u Šumi) – Pumpkin soup with truffles, pasta with prosciutto, mushrooms, and arugula, and wild berry jelly with caramelized almonds and hazelnuts. Price: €25.
• Agroturizam Stara štala (Cerovlje) – Chard soup, roast meat in mushroom sauce, sautéed potatoes, seasonal salad, and apple cake. Price: €20.
• Konoba Dišpet (Pićan) – Pumpkin gnocchi with mushrooms, roasted pork with a side dish, flambéed apples with walnuts. Price: €24.
• Konoba Marino (Gračišće) – Pumpkin soup, pasta with mushrooms and pancetta, apple cake or pancake with homemade marmalade. Price: €22.
• Tinjanski Vijulin (Tinjan) – Roasted pumpkin, ricotta, and prosciutto terrine, tagliata rib-eye with pumpkin croquettes and autumn sauce, pumpkin soufflé with pear semifreddo. Price: €30.
• Tomažova konoba (Sveti Lovreč) – Istrian platter, roast veal with gnocchi, salad, and a pancake with fig marmalade. Price: €30.

The event is organized by the Central Istria Tourist Board, with the support of the Istrian Rural Development Agency (AZRRI), the Pazin Craftsmen's Association, and financial support from the Istrian County.
