The Administrative Department for Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Water Management of Istria County is providing strong support to the Tourist board of central Istria and its local self-government units

Through the Public Call for the allocation of non-repayable financial resources for financing projects/programs in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and water management, a total of €46,000 in non-repayable funds has been allocated to the Central Istria Tourist Board and its local self-government units. The funds have been allocated to stimulate activities and projects that will contribute to the development and improvement of tourism in this beautiful part of Istria.

Tourist Board of central Istria has been allocated a total of €4,000 for the Central Istria gastronomic events, the Central Istria Spirit Days and the valorization of the Istrian sausage. Additionally, the Municipality of Gračišće has been allocated €6,500 in total for the 29th Wine Exhibition Gračišće and the 19th Festival of Istrian maneštra. The Municipality of Karojba received €7,000 in non-repayable funds for the protection activities of the Istrian white truffle and the equipping of the wine sensory evaluation laboratory. The Municipality of Sveti Lovreč received €500 in non-repayable funds for its event A taste of Lovreč. The Municipality of Pićan received €4,000 for the Pićan Summer Market and the Eastern Istria Olive Oil Exhibition. The Municipality of Sveti Petar u Šumi was allocated €10,000 for the fairs "S klobasicom u EU", while the Municipality of Tinjan received €10,000 in non-repayable funds for its well-known Istrian prosciutto fairs. Last but not least, the City of Pazin received financial support of €4,000 for the 3rd international agricultural fair "Agroterra Istra 2024".

These funds will enable the further development of tourism infrastructure, the promotion of local events and sustainable tourism, and the preservation of cultural and natural heritage.
